A New Chapter, A New Conflict
Mac and Kelly Radner were preparing for another major life change. With their second child on the way, they had put their home up for sale, entering a 30-day escrow with a young couple, the Baiers. Their hope for a smooth transition into a quieter home life was shared by their close friends, Jimmy and Paula, who were also expecting a child. However, the calm was disrupted just as the Radners were beginning to let go of their old chapter.
Meanwhile, on a nearby college campus, three freshmen—Shelby, Beth, and Nora—were adjusting to life in a system they quickly found unwelcoming. Sororities were prohibited from throwing parties, while fraternities dominated the social scene with sexist and sometimes predatory behavior. Refusing to accept that norm, the trio formed Kappa Nu, an independent sorority determined to host their own inclusive, non-traditional events.
The Return of a Familiar Face
Elsewhere, Teddy Sanders, once the center of fraternity life, found himself adrift. During a poker night with his old friends, it became clear that each had moved on. Pete had become a successful architect and come out as gay, Scoonie was running his own tech startup, and Garf had joined the police. In contrast, Teddy, saddled with a criminal record, had yet to find purpose or direction.
After helping Pete’s boyfriend Darren with a surprise proposal, Teddy was asked to move out, a request that left him feeling abandoned. Seeking familiarity, he returned to the old Delta Psi house, now vacant. There, he encountered Shelby and her friends, who had plans to rent the house but lacked sufficient funds. Seeing a chance to belong and be useful again, Teddy offered to help them throw parties and raise money. With his guidance, Kappa Nu quickly gained momentum and began hosting events that challenged the status quo.
Suburban Warfare
The Radners soon realized that their property sale was at risk. Concerned that the constant partying would scare away the Baiers, they approached Shelby, asking for temporary quiet. Shelby refused. The Radners escalated the matter to Dean Gladstone and Shelby’s father, but neither could intervene in an independent sorority’s affairs. With no other recourse, Mac and Kelly launched their own countermeasures.
Bed bugs were planted in the sorority house. The infestation forced the girls to evacuate and pay for fumigation, coinciding with the Baiers’ home visit. Tensions escalated further as Teddy moved in with the girls. His presence reignited old loyalties and reopened wounds. An argument with Pete revealed Teddy’s struggle to define his future.
Desperate for funds, the sorority planned a tailgate party with marijuana sales at its core. The girls orchestrated the arrests of rival dealers to corner the market. When Teddy objected to the drug sales, he was removed from the house. Betrayed, he switched sides and joined the Radners in their mission to take down Kappa Nu.
Chaos, Rebellion, and Growth
A plan was launched to sabotage the tailgate. Teddy distracted the girls while Mac stole the marijuana stash. The betrayal deepened when the girls retaliated by tricking Mac into flying to Sydney using a phone number swap. During his absence, the Radners’ home was vandalized, and the Baiers threatened to back out of the purchase.
An eviction notice followed. Facing loss, Shelby proposed throwing a wild, frat-style party to raise money. Though it contradicted their founding ideals, the plan was reluctantly accepted. On the night of the event, Mac and Kelly prepared to call the police. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Paula snuck in, and Teddy tried unsuccessfully to shut down the house’s power. Mac and Teddy were locked in the garage by Shelby, but used airbags to break free.
As conflict reached its peak, Beth and Nora confronted Shelby about straying from their mission. Inspired by their integrity, Kelly intervened, urging the girls to stay true to their values. During the turmoil, Paula went into labor, leading to an unexpected moment of unity. Teddy reconciled with Pete and Darren, and happily accepted the role of best man at their wedding.
Kappa Nu reinvented their event. The party shifted toward a theme of empowerment, drawing interest from other sorority girls. A new vision emerged. Membership surged. Donations poured in. The eviction was avoided. Recognizing the sorority’s potential and newfound direction, the Radners decided to rent their home to Kappa Nu, ensuring greater income than selling it.
Looking Ahead
Months later, Teddy had found his calling. Drawing from his experience, he had become a successful wedding planner specializing in same-sex ceremonies. At one event, he helped prepare Pete to walk down the aisle. Meanwhile, Mac and Kelly had moved into a new home with no close neighbors.
Their second daughter, Mildred, was welcomed into a home filled with love and new beginnings. A visit from Jimmy and Paula, along with their newborn, reminded the Radners of how far they had come. Parenthood was no longer a challenge to fear, but a role they had embraced—and grown into.
